2012 adDRESS a Need: Designer’s Challenge & Top Model Competition

This marks the third year of our fun and successful Friends of Advantage adDRESS a Need SALE. Click here to learn more about the sale coming up in March. This year, we're adding a brand new event the month before the dress sale... the adDRESS a Need Designer’s Challenge & Top Model Competition with Barbara Dooley as our "Special Runway Guest!

In February, designers from northeast Georgia will partner with models from our local community. Their challenge: to take old and outdated dresses and recreate them into fashionable and beautiful looks ready for proms, weddings, theater... or the runway!

Our designers will test their skills in our "adDRESS a Need Designer's Challenge," a fashion show benefit inspired by "Project Runway." The refashioned gowns will be modeled and judged at the event. Come join us and see who is crowned as our winner... and who gets the "Auf Wiedersehen!"

For the "adDRESS a Need Top Model" portion of our event, you'll have the chance vote for your favorite model leading up to and the night of the event. Each vote costs only $1.00 and all proceeds go to benefit services provided to those who are living in homelessness. You can vote as many times as you want. The winner will be announced at the event.

The adDRESS a Need Designer’s Challenge & Top Model Competition takes place on Thursday, February 2, at the Foundry Park Inn Ballroom. The festivities start at 7:00 p.m. and tickets cost $15 if purchased in advance from the models, designer’s or ABHS staff and $16.50 if purchased through the Melting Point. Be sure to buy your tickets early as seats are limited!
